Spirit Airlines Customer Service

Important update

Spirit Airlines has ceased operations

Spirit Airlines stopped flying on May 2, 2026 and is no longer operating. There is no Spirit Airlines customer service phone number, and any number presented as “Spirit Airlines customer service” today is not the airline. Do not call it or share payment details.

What to do if you had a Spirit Airlines booking

  • Paid by credit or debit card: refunds were issued automatically to the card used. Check your statement; if nothing appears, contact your card issuer and dispute the charge.
  • Booked through a travel agent or third party: contact that agent or website directly for your refund.
  • Vouchers, credits or Free Spirit points: these may not be refundable and will be handled through the bankruptcy court process. Points are no longer redeemable.
  • Travel insurance: if you bought a policy, check whether it covers airline insolvency or the cost of rebooking.
  • Mid-trip: several airlines offered limited discounted fares to stranded Spirit Airlines passengers — check directly with major carriers if you are affected.
Scam warning. Airline shutdowns attract fraud. Anyone phoning or emailing you claiming to offer a “Spirit Airlines refund” for a fee, or asking for your full card number or bank login, is a scammer. Real card refunds happen automatically — you never pay to receive one. More on airline phone scams →
